Business Central Basic Implementation – $5,000

Our Basic implementation menu option is designed to get you up and running quickly. This plan is designed for businesses that have basic sales and payables transactions that do not involve inventory management. This is deal for someone that is either using/outgrowing QuickBooks, using other small accounting systems or are a new company that wants to have their entire business history in one system. All other menu options build on this implementation.

  • Setup cloud environment and users
    • Provide a list of your users and they will hit the ground running with the ability to access your new system.
  • Create production company and testing company
    • Testing? Training? We create companies to be used for your production/live processing then make a copy of that so users can test/play with your data but not affect your live data.
  • Import the chart of accounts
    • If you have an existing chart of accounts we will provide you with an Excel template you can use to copy/change your accounts. Don’t have a chart of accounts? No worries, you can key it in directly to the system
  • Setup posting groups (controls G/L accounts during transaction posting)
    • G/L Accounts run the world – or at least let you know where in the world you are from a financial perspective. This is the backbone to your financial reporting.
  • Setup sales module so you can bill customers
    • We prepare the setups so you can enter a customer invoice, email it and post it.
  • Setup bank module so you can receive cash receipts
    • Cash? Who needs cash! Oh – we all do. This module helps you manage your checkbooks used to process cash receipts and A/P checks.
  • Setup payables so you can process purchase invoices
    • Vendors want to be paid and we will make sure you can. Remember – you WILL need to buy new checks, your current checks will NOT work with Business Central without a lot of money to customize the layout. Don’t do it!
  • Setup Fixed Assets
    • If you need to amortize that John Deere tractor, well set it up for you.
  • Account Schedules (P&L Statements)
    • Account schedules help you format financial statements. You will have a few different layouts – some summarizing other accounts and one or two that list all the accounts. These account schedules are also used in Power BI and used on dashboards and the all-important Role Center in Business Central
  • Training for year end processing
  • Setup No. Series (invoice numbers, purchase invoice numbers, etc.)
    • This series controls record numbers throughout Business Central and needs to be setup. We have you covered!
  • Company information (address/email/logo)
    • Setup Power BI using default dashboard’s and KPI’s
      The power of business intelligence! Microsoft Power BI is a cool feature and is available right in your Business Central system. We help pull in your reports and show you how to turn them on.

The Fine Print

We can provide additional services not listed above on a time and materials basis. This “Basic” implementation will NOT prepare your multi-location barcode inventory distribution company – that’s why it is called BASIC. It will however allow your business to start on a path that knows few boundaries, as you grow you can expand your usage of Business Central to handle some amazing processes such as using barcode scanners to pick and pack orders or producing complex products using manufacturing features (requires upgrading to Business Central Premium).
